Starting from 23 of June 2011 all payouts of money transfers sent via Western Union must bear mandatory 10 digit control number (MTCN - Money Transfer Control Number).

Estonian Post co-operates with Western Union, a company offering the service of express money orders all over the world. This is the speediest and most reliable way for remitting money within a couple of minutes to other countries. Money can be transferred solely to private persons.
Amounts to be remitted are accepted, and amounts received are paid out solely in the currency, which is in circulation in Estonia.

Western Union service limits:

When sending cash from the Republic of Estonia by Western Union, the limit is EUR 4,000 per person per day.

When sending cash to the Republic of Estonia by Western Union, the limit is EUR 4,000 per person per day.

The amount of the Western Union money transfer is accepted and paid out only in money in circulation in the Republic of Estonia. When sending a money transfer or accepting one, the customer must present an identity document. Estonian Post Ltd. accepts the documents specified as identity documents in §2 of the Identity Documents Act.
